• Portable Butane Stove: ignited by a match. Pack of 4 x disposable butane canisters available for purchase at branch. There are two (single burner) butane cookers, supplied with the vehicle. A pack of 4 disposable butane canisters (one canister per burner plus 2 spares) can be purchased at the Britz branch. These are included when the Britz Bonus Pack has been purchased. Replacement cartridges can be easily bought and replaced from most camping stores, hardware shops and large chain stores such as K Mart.

• 12V – 32 litres: Yes - Fridge performance may be affected in extreme temperatures. At the rear of the vehicle you will find two storage drawers and a pull out fridge slide that allows easy access to the 32 litre refrigerator. A small table clips on to one of the drawers for a larger kitchen area.

• Kitchen equipment included: Plates, bowls, cups & glasses, knives, forks, spoons, bottle & can opener, mixing bowls, saucepans, frying pan, cooking utensils chopping board, Kettle, teapot.

• Fresh Water Tank: Capacity is 25 Litre Capacity. The filler cap is located on the passenger side of the vehicle and marked 'Water' and the filler hose is supplied. The vehicle only has one water tap, located on the side step at the driver’s door. Simply snap on the hose, open the valve and pressure fill the tank. Once the tank is full, close the valve and remove the hose. Very quick and easy!

• Air-Conditioning / heating (Driver’s Cabin only): This vehicle has air-conditioning and heating in the drivers cabin, which only operates when the engine is running.

•12V dual battery: There are two 12V batteries, one for starting the engine, and the other for domestic 12V system. Battery is recharged by engine alternator.

• Roof Rack:- The vehicle is fitted with a full length, caged roof rack, has awning tracks running down the passenger side and along the rear of the vehicle which will take the 2.5m x 2m awning included with the vehicle.

• Outdoor Table: No - At the rear of the vehicle you will find two storage drawers and a pull out fridge slide that allows easy access to the 32 litre refrigerator. A small table clips on to one of the drawers for a larger kitchen area.

• Extra Features: Rachet straps (to secure belongings on roof rack) 4 ratchet tie downs come complete with the vehicle. There will be a loss / replacement charge of AU$20 each if these are not returned with the vehicle.

• 12v dc power outlet: At the rear of the vehicle you will find two storage drawers and a pull out fridge slide that allows easy access to the 25 litre refrigerator. A small table clips on to one of the drawers for a larger kitchen area. A 12v dc power outlet is located at the rear drivers side, which will allow the 12v extension light to be plugged in and hung inside the tent.

• Outback Safety Kit: This handy kit contains: Emergency Position Indicating Beacon (EPIRB) – when activated the beacon transmits an emergency distress signal, which can be detected by Australian rescue authorities. Snatch Strap – used to pull a vehicle from a bogged position (with the aid of another vehicle), in conjunction with the D-Shackles Bow Shackles – secure the snatch strap to a rigid anchor point Outback folding spade.

• Front and back tyre pressure: should be checked regularly. 42 psi front & 54 psi rear (Check at pickup)

• One spare tyre: is located under rear of the vehicle. (Option of 2nd spare tyre not available)

• Ferry: Length: 4.74m (If booking for a ferry britz have said allow 5.5m as a measurement re the spare tyre)

• Sleeping Configuration Bedding: The Safari 4WD also includes a large family size, 5 man tent. Measuring 3m x 3m it offers a 2m internal height and an additional 2.25 x 3m annex.

• Extra Features: Self inflating mats (for the tent) The roll out mat is foam inlayed and with a self inflating section on the mattress. It inflates - The mat's height then is app. 2.5 cm (1 in = 2.5 cm

• Optional Extra Cost: Customers can purchase a 2.5m x 5.3m tarpaulin from Britz branches for AU$20.00 (last check).

• Depots: Oneway with minimum rental periods available and oneway fee applies. Britz -Alice Springs and Darwin in Northern Territory, Perth and Broome in Western Australia, Adelaide in South Australia, Cairns and Brisbane in Queensland, Sydney in New South Wales, Melbourne in Victoria. (Supplier + Locations (Not available in Tasmania)

Road Restrictions

• Licence - A current and full Australian or New Zealand motor vehicle drivers licence is required and must be produced upon vehicle collection. Should a foreign licence be in a language other then English it must be accompanied by a current international driving permit issued in the same country as the drivers licence was issued. An accredited English translation will be accepted in lieu of an international driving permit.
  
  
• Age Restriction - Drivers must be 21 years of age or over.

Travel - Road Restrictions

• 4WD campervans and cars can be driven on sealed/bitumen roads and recognised unsealed roads with the following exceptions: 4WD vehicles may only travel to the following areas with the written permission of Britz (please contact the local branch for further information): Simpson Desert, Strzelecki Track, Gunbarrel Highway, Cape York, the Bungle Bungles, Oodnadatta Track, Birdsville Track, Tanami Track, the Plenty Highway, Gibb River Road, Burke Development Road from Chillagoe to Normanton and Savannah Way from Normanton to Borroloola, Fraser Island*, Finke Road (between Alice Springs and Oodnadatta), Central Arnhem Road and Arnhem Land in general.
  
  
• Vehicles are NOT permitted to travel on the Canning Stock Route, the Lost City in Litchfield Park, the Old Gunbarrel Hwy, the old Telegraph section of the road to Cape York, Boggy Hole (Finke Gorge National Park) and the Old South Road from Maryvale to Finke, at any time.
  
  
• Vehicles are NOT permitted to travel to Cape York between the months of December to May. At all other times permission is required. The old Telegraph section of the road to Cape York is prohibited at all times however the bypass is permissible providing permission provided.
  
  * The Britz Safari 4WD is not permitted to travel to Fraser Island where any objects are being stored on the roof of the vehicle. This requirement is legislated and fines, enforced by local authorities are applicable. Britz reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions, and the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the hire period.
